I’d hope Few would be more out in front of this than hiding behind the peculiarities of the law. He’s a public figure, a well paid university employee and leader in his industry. Grab this by the throat, and do good.

This. It is out there. Deal it straight up, some humiliy, a lot of apologies, then do some things that go above and beyond what people would normally expect, somehow, with consultants. There is a way to the other side but with a guy like him the legal consequences are secondary to the professional/personal consequences.

He needs far more help on the PR side of things than the legal. The consequences will last longer and could impact him more severely.

This is interesting, based on this information and my weight I could have 3 drinks over the course of one hour and be under the .08 BAC, that seems like a lot. 2 will continue to be my limit when driving and that's typically over a 2+ hour period like a basketball game.

I was surprised, too. Three drinks in an hour would leave me in bad shape to drive. The caveat to the information in the link is that weight is perhaps a proxy for hydration status prior to drinking, per one study I saw. A full stomach also delays absorption, as far as I know, as well.

I could post open heart surgery stories but it would serve no purpose. Continued handwringing doesn’t matter and may damage in some aspects. So what’s the point? There is no point! It’s over.
