Wizards rookie Corey Kispert on his NBA debut and going viral.
While Corey Kispert will never forget his NBA debut, which came on Friday night in a win over the Indiana Pacers, Wizards fans may remember it for a particular facial expression he made. After Davis Bertans hit a go-ahead three with 35 seconds remaining in overtime, Kispert shot him a look as he returned to the bench for a timeout and the screenshot immediately went viral on social media.
Corry’s shooting 20% from 3 - LESS than Suggs. That’s not going to cut it. Hope he can turn it around.
Way too small of a sample size. He’s 2 for 10. Some guys do that in one game nowadays. If he hits his next two it’s 33%.
If he ends the season below 30% there’s an issue.

Suggs is starting. Kispert isn't yet getting many minutes, so is hard to get any kind of a rhythm. A few more drop and his % will go up, as 23dpg said.
Corey's +10 in his 14 minutes on the court was the best of any Wizard last night. Encouraging. He seems much improved on defense in stopping his opponent's first step. Still . . . a long way to go to be even a mediocre defender in the League.
Question: With the way the Wiz are playing, when Rui comes back, does he take Corey's minutes at small forward off the bench?

Good question. I still think that Kuzma will be traded by February. He didn’t want to go to Washington, and he’s improved his trade value with his play so far.

Corey Kispert is getting his MBA this year, said he just turned in his last final of the semester. Tough schedule with the back to back this week as well. “Big week for Corey.”
