The more interesting question to me is Vyctorious Miller. Listed as a shooting guard but says he wants to play PG. I hadn’t heard a mention of before the August article came out. He is class of 2024 along with Zoom.
The rumor was in the transfer window that the staff did not want any roadblocks for signing Diallo. Meaning a grad transfer with only 1 year of eligibility. They then proceeded to sign Nembhard (pure point guard) with 2 years of eligibility, Luka (prefers the 2 but can and has played the point) 4 years of eligibility , we already have Hickman (a 2 that can play point) 2 years of eligibility, we have Dusty (who is more of a 2/3), and now they are courting a guard that plays 1-3 with 4 years of eligibility. Add Jun and the comments on Miller were before Adams transferred.
Could just be covering bases but it looks awful crowded in the backcourt to land Diallo. Who knows but I thought Miller had more relevance than Adams.Last edited by Murphy outgo lifer; 08-29-2023, 07:33 AM.Comment

Who is in the mix: Alabama, Arizona, Gonzaga, USC and Washington
Latest intel: After winning a pair of state titles in his home state of Washington, the nation’s top ranked point guard Zoom Diallo heads off to California for his senior season. Alabama is a relative newcomer to the party and Diallo has been on campus — either officially or unofficially — at each of his other suitors.
For much of his recruitment, Gonzaga has been thought to be either at or near the top of his list. They’ve prioritized him and added assistant RJay Barsh, who has a strong relationship with Diallo and had gotten him to visit Florida State while he was on staff there. The Zags remain in a strong position. After a June visit to USC the Trojans have picked up steam and after seemingly not being all that involved early on, Washington has improved their standing. We will see what happens with ‘Bama and sources have indicated to 247Sports that a visit date for a trip to Tuscaloosa will be finalized in the very near future. We will see what happens if and when he makes that visit -- the Tide's playing style is appealing to Diallo -- but for now we would expect Diallo to remain out West for college.

Shouldn’t be. I don’t really see Perry as a backup plan. If he commits before Zoom I think they’d take it. Zoom has had so much time to commit and be the guy but hasn’t, so now I think they’d go with whoever commits first.Comment
